The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

I am like ridiculously psyched for this movie! Michael Sheen's back too! Fuck, he's a hottie. That's the only thing I didn't like about evolution...that and the fact that Markus died. Lame. Plus origin stories are fucking awesome! Apparently Kate Beckinsale's in this one too...do we see her get turned? That'd be sweet. ONLY 3 DAYS TO GO!!!

Honestly.. If you watched underworld 1 .. you already know what's going to happen in Rise of the Lycans.
So there wasn't that much of a suprise in this movie. I wished a bit more depth within the story.
And ( for all males.. ) Sonja looks awesome hot :)
I would give Rise of the Lycans 6 of 10 points.
